Remember this movie?
Yeah, me too.
It's one of the better zombie movies that's come out during the zombie craze.
Well, it's finally getting the TV treatment it's creators envisioned, but that's old news.
In case you haven't been paying attention Amazon is wanting to take its streaming services the way of Netflix, and create original content. Enter Zombieland.
I like the idea. With the show's format you could have a kill of the week - like in the movie - you could have a new rule each week, and you could have a new cast of characters.
That's where my problem with the show comes in.
IGN is reporting that Maiara Walsh has been cast as Wichita.
What chu talkin' 'bout, Amazon?
I don't want to see another girl play Emma Stone's character. That character is Emma Stone in my mind. That's the first role I ever remember seeing her in. She brought charm and a bucket full of laughs to the movie. Why not create a new set of characters? If you read the article Amazon Studios plans on re-casting Tallahassee, Columbus, and Little Rock. (Ehhhhhhh.) Guess we'll find out when they do so.
I'd say I'd wait for this to hit Netflix or Redbox but I guess that won't be happening.
UPDATE: If you read further into the article the writer lets you know that Tyler Ross and Izabela Vidovic have been cast as Columbus and Little Rock, respectively. That's what you get when you don't read the complete article. You miss important details.
